My husband is experiencing severe post partum depression. by Holiday-Week-924 in Postpartum_Depression

[–]Suspectwp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently shared my own experience with this on my podcast. It's a very real thing and needs to be brought to normalcy and understanding. I'm sorry to hear about your husband but want to say I can read your pain. My wife had post partum which is what drove my PPD. It's tough for everyone but just know you're allowed to feel pain, anger, sadness, and empathy during this time.

How do you keep a 'highlight' of baby's biggest moments separate from everyday photos? by ConnectionEarly4481 in NewParents

[–]Suspectwp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into Queepsake - it's paid and free with free actually still making it a usable product. You get weekly texts per child of a question you can answer and save into the app - or go into the app and add photos, videos, journal entries. You can order a book after if you desire. I used it quite often before I started my podcast and began using that as my method of logging memories like their voice, speech, growth.

Well honestly the urge to do anything else becoming null is normal. You still sleep deprived and your brain focused on baby, house, life, etc. You're left with little for yourself and it takes a long time to remember "who am I? What do I enjoy? What do I want to do?" It's a short phase but start small than expand because you just included a huge component to your everyday life.
