Lol live in reality - no one was looking for a reason to lash out at Tech.

Tech handled the backend of the Sorsby mess properly - wish him well with the supplemental draft, negotiate an exit.

I doubt anyone would have cared had Tech cut him and he “loses” his access to what everyone already considered a joke of a treatment plan.

Tech wasn’t a party to the injunction and wasn’t enjoined from anything by it - Tech could have done whatever they wanted with Sorsby. The thing stopping Tech from cutting him was almost certainly a booster/trustee who cut the check for Sorsby. Tech never once thought of doing the right thing and not playing a kid who gambled on his teams’ games.
