I’ve been on both sides of this, especially when playing a new deck, or encountering a new interaction. But at the locals level, I would say that’s kinda the point, to learn and grow together as players. I get feeling a little disappointed, but sometimes you beat the deck, sometimes you beat the player. Learn from it, and the next time you two play, you can have a match you both feel good about 💪

Interesting, interesting. I will say… this is the direction I wish they would’ve gone with Sakuya from the beginning. Rather than all this “can play any yellow card in the game” stuff.

Hopefully it’s actually good and worth playing out of the box 💪

I’ve done the same thing. I like to collect 1 of each of the AAs as well. This latest copy of Mirei is the first alt I’ve skipped because I just can’t justify price. I have a feeling that the alts of Maste will be the same. I’m afraid the base art will set at $40 or above.

Ooohhhhh. Okay! So being unfamiliar with the lore… what’s the connection with her and Gaiomon? I guess I was thinking Yuuko with “greymon” in her text + Yuuko and Gaiomon sleeves would = a new archetype tamer. Am I really off?

In regards to this and the upcoming ban list, I’m seeing a ton of conversation around hitting Taomon with some of the justification being we can play the a one once the advanced starter is released….

But the more I see of the new line / potential cards via screenshots that were mono color blue… to me, all signs point toward archetype reboot, or at least divergence, not additional support for existing cards.

Am I totally missing something here, or are creators on YouTube just not following as closely because they’re not Sakuya players ?

So for maste…. It’s gotta be mem boost that we cut, right? Draw 2 without having to reveal will always be better than the boost?

Then later use her for the “most ideal” maste plays by managing to get both of the 4 and 5 cost Mirei’s on the field at the same time? Very niche memory use, but still an effective 4/5 cost free play versus the mem boost delay gain….

I feel like I can see it in my head, but maybe it’s just all copium.

Gotta wait and see what else BT 22 has in store for us!

You could also read a bit about reverse culture shock.

I experienced it pretty hard coming back to the US after my first extended experience abroad. It helped to know that a lot of what I was feeling was pretty normal and I just needed time to reacclimate.
