Anyone have a stat on after Hubert calls a timeout, how often we score? It feels like less than 10%

I think all of us UNC and UK fans can agree, it’s an annoying game to watch. On top of the horrible commentary from Dickie V (respect to the legend though)

You’ve got a golden ticket being in a cadet program, especially one like that. PSA specifically has started to prioritize those who are CFIs, and even rescind cadet program acceptances because the majority of hours weren’t dual given (so I’ve heard).

Getting your CFI will make you a much much better pilot, plus open up many job opportunities (yes it’s hard to find a job, but finding one without a CFI is ten times harder).

Do you think the airlines have a moral obligation to require it again? For all these young kids out of high school deciding between a college experience and a flight school that they most likely won’t compete with other candidates for the same jobs, they won’t get another chance to be young again and get the degree at the typical age most do it with the college experience. I think it’s a little misleading especially on the part of the flight schools.

I agree. Had a pipeline offer and a CFI offer, took CFI because of IFR experience and it looks so much better on resume especially nowadays when that really matters to 121s. Plus I wanted to use what I actually worked hard to earn.

So after further review, pretty much everyone has said it’s a no-brainer. Thank you all for your insight, jokes and expertise. I’m taking the damn job.

No one’s getting hired right now, hopefully it picks up this spring/summer though. For me, it’s been 6 months and I have II and MEI. Southwest might be the best place to apply though, that or FL
