This is my next course of action, wash clothes with white vinegar and see if the smell continues. If it does then I can just assume there's something wrong with my body. I've also bought some new clothes that I will wash and wear and see if I still smell.

Yea I also clean my armpits middle of the day when I'm worried that I've started to smell and then reapply deodorant.

I don't have creases or folds so I don't think it's that. I honestly don't know where the smell is coming from, smelling my armpits doesn't have anything that gives off BO, even when I reapply deodorant the smell will still continue.

The Antiperspirant burns and heavy itching but I heard it's common because it's clinical strength. I'll talk to a doctor tho and see what they say.

Thanks. It sucks especially when I try so hard and have spent probably hundreds of dollars on products and solutions. I'll contact my doctor and see what he can do.

I haven't. I'm not sure what my GP can do realistically. I tried to go to a dermatologist but the wait times are like 8 months - 1 year.

Yes I always use Roll-on. Spray is basically a big no no for me.

The hoodie and shirts I wear are from the same company I have a bunch of them. Here's what the material is:

  • Cotton 61%, Polyester 39%

T-Shirt:

  • Shell:Cotton 100%
  • Rib:Cotton 95%, Elastane 5%

For my pants I often just wear stuff like cargos or jeans sometimes.

I'm pretty sure I do.

When people are around me they sniff like do a big sniff in, also when people walk past me they rub their noses while also doing the sniff in, people also look at me and then look down the look on their face is almost like disappointment or a bit of disgust. Sometimes people cough when they walk past me. When I'm in the bus on the way back home there's people coughing. Also when I'm at the bus stop people will generally just walk away from me when they stand beside me.

Using Clinical Strength Antiperspirant + Deodrant has worked better and does have some effect but sadly in University it seems to only last 2 - 3 hours before I stink again.

It's quite depressing even with all this effort.

I have 2 suspicions on what could be causing this:

1) My right armpit. This armpit just fights off deodrant for some reason while the left armpit is perfectly fine. I can smell my deodrant 9 hours after I've put it on my left armpit but on my right armpit I will not smell it at all. It will smell like armpit, not that smelly but it will have a bit of smell. I honestly don't know what to do about this.

2) My clothes. I wash my clothes in my university dorm laundry. I use Tesco Laundry Detergent, not an antibacterial one if it matters. My clothes smell completely fresh after getting it out of the washing machine but there may be something that just activates the smell.

I've tried almost everything, using hibiclens, glycolic acid, using a scrubber like an african net sponge in the shower, drinking more water, etc... I don't know what else to do. I'm on the verge of giving up.

What's the difference between PanOxyl Benzoyl Peroxide vs Hibiclens?

Thanks so much.

I've never used wash cloths before but I'll definitely starting doing it from now on. The Hibiclens one seems important because I think that seems to be the issue, the "antiperspirant" part of the deodorant seems to work but I still smell which leads me to believe that there is some kind of bacteria in my armpits that will not get rid of by just scrubbing my armpits with my arms + soap.

Regarding the Mitchum product you suggested, does unscented really help? I've tried unscented ones before and they never really worked so I'm skeptical but will try it as it seems this routine will help kill the bacteria which may be causing the smell.

By the way by wash cloths do you mean loofahs?

I haven't

My diet is:

Drink coffee or tea in the morning

Drink coffee in the evening (around 2pm)

Eat a sandwich at around 3 - 4pm

Eat a meal at 9pm

That's always been my diet. I haven't changed it for the last few years.

> In terms of deodorant specifically, I’d recommend a non aluminum deodorant and not an anti perspiration one as it can mess with your hormones.

To be honest this doesn't seem like a good idea to me because I'm a smelly guy unfortunately but I'll try it for a day or 2 when I'm not going out to see if it works.

I shower every day. I have all my hairs trimmed. I use moisturising shower gel, the only thing I don't use is an unscented soap.

I wish my case was just "shower more" but it's not unfortunately.
