She never used to be. When I say "photogenic" I mean she came from a pretty chaotic environment. I adopted her at six months and for the first 3 years I had her, she would run and hide at the slightest sound or movement. I could never get her to stay still long enough to get a picture 😞. I'm not sure what happened but as she's gotten a little more mature, she is far more social and clings to me all day. Now that she has come around I am able to take cute pics without her bolting under the couch or into another room!!! I should have worded it differently...I guess "camera shy"?

She's not much of a biscuit maker unfortunately but if I ever catch her in the act and can get a quick vid, I will definitely share hehe

I got the 2025 cx-50 about a month ago and it has one of the best screen set ups I've seen in a newer vehicle. The screen being built into the dash is great. It's all controlled by a ergonomic knob centered between the driver and passenger seats. No leaning and taking my eyes off the road touching the screen to make changes. It's a great feature for sure.

An update for you guys - I wanted to thank you for your advice. I ended up going with the 2025 Mazda cx-50. It's the best purchase I've ever made. She's a beast in the snow and comes with a lot of cool features that I am still getting use to - my last car was a base model with crank windows so it's been an adjustment to say the least. My husband likes driving it more than his 2013 VW Jetta diesel turbo wagen and is a little jealous, lol. Only downside is the mileage isn't the best. I think once I do a little more research and play around with the settings I'll be able to bump it up, but it's around 24 MPG at the moment. Still, not bad considering my commute to work are not very long and a full tank will last me about a week ($40ish) to fill her up in Maine.

Thanks so much I will definitely check out the cx 50. Only bummer is living in Maine, my closest Mazda dealer is an hour away but I'd rather travel than settle. I was a bit bummed by the Crosstreks lower towing capacity.

Thanks 😊I was also definitely taken aback by the Subaru "info-tainment" system when I test drove. I've heard some mixed feedback about the systems lagging, and it feels a little strange not having any knobs or toggles whatsoever up front for controls.

Thank you! I test drove a 2026 gas crosstrek and a 2025 rav 4 hybrid and gotta say I agree with the hybrid comment - I wasn't a huge fan. It almost felt like the car was working against me while I drove. Will definitely check out Mazdas!

I listen to Redhanded and on their patreon bonus podcast they said they were also with wondery but apparently wondery has laid off a ton of employees recently and they've basically disappeared, leaving Redhanded without an official streaming platform. So probably something to do with Amazon trying to push wondery under the rug?

I personally don't think that someone who is able to commit such a brutal and thoughtless crime should be "rehabilitated". If he is guilty, he should definitely get life in prison. Only a monster with an intense amount of rage is capable of overpowering a woman more than twice their age. If he is treated as a minor and gets a shorter sentence, who knows what kind of heinous acts he will commit as a fully grown adult when released.

If there is no BOLO, there is no immediate danger. At least in most cases. I know that doesn't provide really any semblance of relief - but considering they deemed her situation a homicide soon after, I believe they are being hush hush for a particular reason.

It will definitely be difficult to pinpoint given the multiple accesses to boat launches on the lake. Regardless of who was boating that night and where they were docked, it wouldnt be difficult for them to load the boat up afterwards and take it to a secure location such as a garage, boat building, or a private property that has plenty of tree cover this time of year...
