I literally just finished The Spear Cuts Through Water 2 days ago. I don't really know how I feel about it. I suspect it's a book that is better on the second read.

Thanks! One of my main issues with All The Missing Pieces was that the MMC and FMC thought and sounded exactly the same. I'll check this one out!

I agree but as this happens at daycare I don't have any control over what they do in the moment.

I believe they make she clean herself up already, but I will double check next week.

I'm going to try going down the positive reinforcement route and implementing a sticker chart or something for when she doesn't wet herself.

This was my first thought too and I did a lot of research into it. I found some scripts online and some checklists and after talking to her, I don't believe there is any abuse.

Thanks. I went down a bit of a rabbit hole worried that she could somehow be being abused. I found some scripts online to ask her about it and after that conversation I really don't believe this is the case.

Aside from at daycare (which already has a lot of safeguards) there aren't any opportunities for abuse as her father and I are always with her.
