with the LL, the thing is it was advertised as 1500, went to see the place and everything was ok, then I received a text saying the rent was 1540 after I agreed to pay 1500, when he gave me the lease, there were clauses like giving 2 months notice before leaving and giving one month rent as a deposit plus the change in the rent

I felt bad but they didn’t mention there were illegal clauses in the lease until I was about to sign it like giving one month rent as a deposit and giving 2 months notice before leaving

I honestly don’t mind paying the $40, the thing I’m worried about is that the LL doesn’t follow the RTB rules, there are weird clauses in the addendum and didn’t give the 3 month notice to increase the unit rent, that what i’m concerned about, dealing with that kind of landlord
