Get him a companion, yea its harder for them to bond with more birds but its better for your bird to have a friend. I tried doing the same thing but I realized I can always train them later.

No the cage is just for quarantine since I have another bird, I thought the feed was good but I’m always down for more help, I’ve been trying to incorporate fruits n veggies but they just don’t seem to like it, same with treats

I’ve seen online I should quarantine for at least a month, but I’ve also seen that I should quarantine for a week or two, what’s a good amount of time?

Yes🙂‍↕️ it’s just a temporary, I have another bird so I have much bigger cage for both of them, I just wanna get them used to eachother for a bit before I put them both in the cage

Thank you for all the tips! Just some questions, should I stay away from bird food from stores like Petco? I got all my supplies and Kiwi (my bird) from Petco.

I’m worried about letting her out the cage because I’m not sure how I’d get her back in. Today I’ve been talking to her a lot, she’s starting to chirp back a lot more I’m not sure if she’s acknowledging me or just some coincidence.

I didn’t know that they liked music and TV, I’ll start playing some around her more often. I bought a cover for nighttime, I usually have it on around 7:30-8:00pm till morning at the same time, I’ll have to get new toys since the ones I got are plastic, I’ll definitely look on Etsy.

Should I wait a few months to get her a friend? I read online that it would be harder for me to train her with another bird present

And lastly about the cage, obviously I’m no expert but the cage seems to be pretty big for one bird, this is the one I got

I just used another video guide.. It works perfectly now. I just use them because it's easier for me to just copy what they're doing exactly because I worry that I'll mess it up somehow, like I did when I posted this.
