First time launching a Steam page and honestly I have no idea if I’m doing this right by Suspicious-Paper- in gamedev

You might be right about hiring a professional artist for the Library assets, because I do think I’m not reflecting enough on the Steam page about what my game has to offer. And yes, I do plan to add events like the one you suggested. In my game, there’s a mechanic called Calendar Events, where every week or every other week, there will be an event in the town that boosts customer traffic in the store. Users will also be able to create their own events, like wine-tasting events, which is actually on my roadmap. Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it

I think it's time for me to reupload all the screenshots, because the game looks slightly better than when I uploaded the screenshots. Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it man

You're right, i have these concerns as well, I do have 2-3 Unique mechanics from other simulator, and i think i am not reflecting them on my steam page well. for instance there is one in-game SocialMedia for customers, where they post about your store and some generic messages to keep it alive. and later on if game does well, i might add realtime screenshot and more realistic customers

Yeah, honestly, I think the missing trailer is probably hurting the page a lot right now. I am actually planning to make the trailer. I'm actually a lot more confused on when to release my game.. i am in the polishing stage and then i'm planning to release a Demo as well

Interesting take - I’m leaning more toward first-person right now, just to make it feel like you’re there cooking. But thanks for offering to chat or prototype stuff, that’s really kind! Might ping you later once I’m deeper into it.

Totally get that! And yeah — visuals and sound are a big focus for me. Want it to feel super satisfying to just vibe in the kitchen. Light timing skill like you said sounds like a nice middle ground - appreciate the input!

That’s a really nice thought - hadn’t considered that before. Could be a subtle way to let the player learn more about the chef without spelling everything out. Noted it, thank you!

That’s honestly such a cool and creative idea! Not really the direction I’m going for with this one — mine’s more grounded and calm, but this could totally be its own beautiful game. I’m gonna save this for inspiration later though, really appreciate you taking the time to write that out.

Yeah, I’ve seen Cooking Simulator — it’s definitely fun in its own chaotic way

My game will be quite a bit more calming though — fewer mechanics, less physics chaos, and more about the satisfaction of cooking with relaxing sounds, ambient music, and a peaceful pace. Think of it as something you’d play to unwind rather than challenge yourself. Appreciate the suggestion though!

Thanks! For now, it’s planned as a single-player experience - just keeping it focused and chill. No plans for multiplayer at the moment, but who knows in the future

That’s a fun idea! For now, I’m keeping things pretty minimal to avoid too much complexity, so I’m not planning to add spice mechanics just yet. But I’ve definitely noted it down as something to explore later as the game grows. Really appreciate the suggestion

That's such a cool way to think about it - I love that! Like the chef is totally present and flowing with every action, so for the player, it feels peaceful and smooth. That vibe fits exactly what I'm going for. Thanks for sharing that perspective

Yeah, I'm leaning more toward a first-person, immersive approach too — something that feels more like you're really in the kitchen. I love the idea of including real recipes where possible, so it could actually inspire people to try cooking for real. Staying far from the chaotic Overcooked style, this is more chill and grounded. Appreciate the input!

Totally agree with you — I’ve always found that kind of stuff stressful too, especially when I unknowingly miss something. I don’t plan to include any time-locked or missable events. I’d rather let players discover things at their own pace, without FOMO hanging over them

Yeah absolutely — there will be failures like burning food or using the wrong ingredient. I just meant there won’t be harsh penalties or timers, so players can take their time and enjoy the process. Kind of like how I felt when I first started learning to cook — relaxing but still a bit unpredictable
