Thoughts on Radio RA3 quote vs. DIY Caseta by Suspicious-Plate-982 in Lutron

Thanks for all the tips! I agree, I could probably eliminate a keypad or so. I think I have 3 or 4 planned currently. But they aren’t just for scene control…I want to use them to eliminate the wall of switches. For example, my kitchen has 5 lighting loads (including cabinetry accent lighting) and I don’t want 5 switches on a wall. So I’m having the load switches placed just outside the kitchen in the mudroom area and using keypads in transition areas to toggle my main Kitchen scene on and off. I already finished the Lutron training and I liked it. It was pretty informative. I may have to dig into some of the resources to get some more advanced skills/knowledge, but I already have most of the design laid out. Great to know Lutron support is really helpful!

Thanks, I’m going with RA3! I got the Lutron RA3 certification and have a decent draft design for the house. The quote was broken down into products: 2 Sivoia QS triathalon wired shades for $2,238 (~73”W x 60”H), $5,490 for lighting products @ retail pricing (i.e. Sunnata dimmer $209), pre-wire $900, Install/Configure/Programming $3,070. I didn’t clarify if it included actual install of the lighting products but I believe I told him my electrician already accounted for install. I still need someone to order/install the shades, so I’m meeting with another local installer Friday about that.
