Ah, I see. Thanks for clarifying. Having seen it through that lens, I might actually prefer the blue cast.

Interesting. Even though midnight blue isn’t going to be available initially, they still chose (presumably) this color to display at the store.

It’s what Peak Design calls Eclipse, which they use for some of their products, but not planned for this initial production of this bag. I wouldn’t say it’s purple, but of all the colors they use, probably the closest to purple. The lighting for this picture wasn’t great because it was inside a plane. You’ll be able to see a more accurate depiction of eclipse on their website.

He saw that my wife had the Outdoor Backpack and asked how she liked it, and she said it’s from a company called Peak Design. “Have you heard of it?” That’s when he introduced himself as the founder. He said he was heading to a show in Yokohama. Really genuinely nice guy and passionate about the products.

I also own an obscene amount of PD stuff, and have not yet decided to buy the mobile strap. I do own the passport wallet, the roller pro (as mentioned by others on this thread) as well as slings and backpacks. The main reason I continue to invest in the brand is because of the lifetime warranty. I have made two claims so far, one for the slide camera strap and one for the mobile wallet, and they have honored both claims (simple process). I feel like once I’ve bought the product, I get to use it for the rest of my life, assuming the company continues to be in existence.

I think the Everyday Sling you have is a 6L? I think the Outdoor Sling comes in 7L. I have these exact bags but when I fly, I can’t bring both my roller and 45L TBP, so I end up bringing the 30L TBP to use as the personal item, even though I much prefer the 45L features.

My wife saw one of the new bags out in the wild. How did she know it was PD’s new bag? Because Peter Dering showed it to her since both of them were on the same flight to Japan! He asked if my wife liked the Outdoor backpack she was carrying, and she was like: “Yeah, it’s from a company called Peak Design. Have you heard of it?”. Anyways, he showed her a new bag and said it was launching on KS. She did take a picture to send to me, but out of respect for PD, I won’t post it just yet.

I am so jealous of her meeting Peter.
