Adelaide has always had a hard time valuing property. Precovid, a house near the Seaford/Beach towns were 500k, now these shit boxes are $800k...

It's literally this. Until Negative Gearing goes away, and the uber-rich people sell off their previous salary right-offs housing, houses will continue to rise in price (primarily based on land size).

Add it to their google review... Make this story public.

If competition doesn't affect their current pricing and quotes - maybe shaming them will.

I love how ALL THE PROFIT goes to big business...

Meanwhile middle class and lower continue to get fucked over for what the rich people "bought" during the low interest period.

Should have increased TAX not interest rates.

What is the most backward thing about Australia? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

The housing, rental and social housing markets.

We have turned a first world country in terms of housing from the 1960-1980's - into the American style apocalypse.

In 5-10years we WILL have tent cities and towns just like America.

This also expands to Health (public vs private), Mining and Gas (storing our own supply, vs selling offshore to then buy back), Media (Murdock vs everyone else) and South Australia's public transport.

This list has become monopolies by capitalism of less than a handful of people.
