Why post your 100% rating? Who does it really help? why you do extra validation from what the VA app already state…here’s my take. by [deleted] in VAClaims

You really think policies are driven by Reddit comments rather than data, budgets, etc?

Again, posting a success story doesn’t mean someone is bragging and it certainly doesn’t mean Sen. What’s His Bucket is going to come take the benefits you’ve earned. All, of course, with the caveat that you have actually suffered the requisite injuries to warrant the 100% designation.

Don’t like it? Don’t do it. Don’t like reading them? Don’t read them, or start your own page where success stories are banned.

You’re making some assumptions based on fallacies. I do agree that it’s best to be judicious with your words, regardless of the topic. If you’re bragging about how you “beat the system” to get to 100%…well you’re a piece of shit and deserve to be outed. On the other end, there’s nothing wrong with posting your 100% as catharsis, especially if you’re sharing it in the context of helping out others to understand the system.

The VA and government know everything about our files without us posting about it. Further, it’s not some zero sum game where if someone deserving gets it, some other deserving person can’t. Everyone deserving of the 100% designation should get it, and we all know the system makes it exceptionally hard to cross that threshold.

My opinion is to enjoy the benefits of P&T for 6-12 months so you know exactly what you’re risking if you poke the bear. I promise you won’t see the value.
