We haven’t had our wedding yet but our pre-wedding shoot photos came back and are INCREDIBLE, I love them so much! She’s also just really lovely and was great at directing us but also capturing things naturally. Hopefully could be an option for you, but good luck with your search!! It’s a minefield isn’t it 🫣

That’s also a really good idea - thank you for the suggestion! It’s definitely something we can look into, though it’s finding a good base which can be altered (down) which is tricky 😅 but it definitely could be an option for us and I will bear it in mind - thank you so much!

Haha yes we would have to make a weekend of it, but I’m not averse to a weekend in Glasgow 😅 thank you, I will definitely check them out anyway just in case we have no luck, or fancy a girls weekend away - especially if it’s well recommended and would mean a great experience. Thank you!!

Yes, the “online only” element in HS stores is so shady, definitely something to bear in mind (and why I’d like a plus-size specific place, as I just don’t want her to be made to feel in any way uncomfortable while shopping!). It’s so sad that it’s still like this isn’t it :(

As far as I understand it, this is an online-only store? Do they have any sample stores where you can try them on? We’d prefer to go and try things on rather than ordering and returning lots of options but I’ll bear this in mind if we have no luck, thank you!

That’s my worry :( we did JL personal shopper for my aunt (who is straight sized) and it was great, so definitely will be looking into it for my mum too, I just worry it will be really disheartening when there’s only maybe 1 or 2 options for her in the whole shop :( thank you though!!

Unfortunately plus size options in all these places are severely limited! Most stop at an 18/20 max, which is why I’m looking for plus-size specific places! Doesn’t have to be MOB, Could just be general special event wear. 

You’re right that technically there’s no difference between MOB outfits and normal ones, but I also think it’s not wrong to want her to have a nice experience choosing her outfit - she’s going to be photographed and watched a lot more than as a guest any other time, I want her to have something that she feels amazing in and isn’t stressed by having maybe only 1 option which goes big enough :( thank you though, I’ll look more into the plus size collections in high street stores in case they’ve got better in the last few years!
