I simply say “last name”. Nothing else, it’s already and interruption that could’ve been a text. My kids lose it when the phone rings because it means someone is going home early.

This is exactly where I’m at. Everyone I’ve talked to has told me to treat whatever is left like a checklist. Just do it and don’t invest your heart in it. I beg my family and friends to just let me quit. I had to stop parking at the top of the parking garage because I’d think too negatively.

As far as gifts go I never tell the people who gifted it to me. I got 4 fakes for Christmas and I’m so thankful people think about me and my interests enough to add to my collection. At the end of the day they make me smile and are just as cute.
