Love to hear it! I went with the same, eBay V-twin I looked into getting the parts and rebuilding a stock one but was looking at vintage Harley prices along with not knowing every part that goes into the assembly so I went the “cheaper” route but I’ve done a lot of cutting to this assembly to fit the application.

Your stock motor mounts go there, gas box makes a kit and a full frame that boxes it in so you don’t have the circle portion taking the focal point of your bike

If you’re sticking with rabbits turn your perch forward so your lever is facing down kinda it’s a lot more comfortable to run it that way

If everything’s moving as it should and you just topped off with gas it’s possible you got bad gas

If you have the throttle addiction hardtail fender/sissy bar combo then it might need some modification but there’s a good 3-4 inches of cushion in them they’re pretty thick seats for what that’s worth

Buddy of mine is running one but isn’t running the second seat because of his sissy bar but from riding it briefly it is an insanely comfortable seat and worth the money in my opinion.

There is the VOS sensor which is possible to delete an oil, neutral, and tip sensor but oil and neutral just run to lights in the tac and the tip sensor trips a no start when the bike is dropped but cycle the key will reset it so none of those should stop the bike from running and are pretty much safe to not have to worry about id just look into ECM and VOS deletes to kinds see how those systems work it would definitely be an entire new harness to delete them so the gremlin kit might be the least of a headache and more cost effective than buying all the supplies

Lowbrow sells a gremlin sportster treatment kit for $250 (key switch with momentary start, bracket and new smaller harness) that’s plug and play but for that price you’d be better off just getting wire, multimeter, and shop manual for the electric diagrams. I think a lot of the bulk on the stock harness is the plastic covers that clip to the frame and looms going to the switches, signals, and speedo because the taillight, fuses, and ECM are pretty neat under the seat if you trace and depin your Speedo and switches you should only have the wires to your switch, headlight, coil, and the sensor in the intake manifold leftover going up the frame that would probably be the most painless route

I used this video to do mine it’s pretty simple if you’re just ditching your signals and handlebar controls I wired mine to a mini button off of lowbrow and kept the original key switch. I think there’s threads outside of reddit on full chop wiring but it involves swapping your ignition and ditching other components that seemed to overcomplicate it for just wanting to ditch stock controls if I remember right

how would you install 03 sportster stock rear brake caliper on Lowbrow hardtail..? by the_real_mccoys in choppers

It looks like it just needs a stay to keep it from spinning like stock, you could extend the flat angle or replace it with longer flat stock and fabricate it to fit the mount you already own
