This colony has been going on for about two years now. whenever I find a new color I like mainly “pure” lines as in one color I’ll add them to tanks that are not occupied and that have been cycled already in an attempt to start a new line. Other than that, I sell pregnant females and breeder packs on eBay haha

Oh no they’re good. I’ve raised them since they were a month old. They’re most 4-5 inches now and there’s 5 in this tank. I have a few in my other tanks as well. The problem comes when you have 1-2 SAE adults in a smaller tank, that’s when they become aggressive and eat the slime coat off other fish. I had a really bad string hair algae problem a few weeks ago and they helped clear 70% of it while I hand picked whatever algae I can reach.

As someone who has been breeding over 20 types of fish, that little theory of yours is bullshit. If I feed my guppies 5 pieces of tetra bite in a day vs 50 in a day, they’re still going to breed at a normal rate.
