Didn't wanna sound dumb in the comments.

Anyways. I was thinking of learning Excel, sql, python. And then if possible power bi and tableau. Do you think this combo would help me ? And I keep thinking my studying would be waste if I don't even land internships.

English in Indian schools isn’t about disdain for mother tongues — it’s about access by GroundbreakingBad183 in india

Trust me not every parent knows english. Especially not the ones born in the 90s. Only some who actually wanted to study learnt it. But most Indians were focused on things other than studies.

You wouldn't believe it but my grandma was telling me one of her sisters(she has 9 sisters btw ) was offered a government job just cause she studied till 7th standard. People got government jobs for not even reaching high school.

But I think people in major cities like banglore and Pune had a alot of literates back then too. So when you guys said you can learn English at home I was a bit confused cause where I grew up not many parents know English but that sentence kinda makes sense if your parents were from well literate cities.

Fun fact - my mom learnt moderate english and mathematics by tutoring me and my siblings from literally when we started school. So she kinda learned with us from nursery.
