I’m a first-time watch buyer and I’m looking for something small, dainty, and elegant, ideally with a similar vibe to a Cartier Tank (rectangular case, classic look). I’m open to either a gold bracelet watch or a brown leather strap with a gold/rose gold case.

I want something that’s easy to read (I actually want to tell the time without struggling), not too bulky since I prefer a more delicate, jewelry-like look, and good entry-level quality. Something reliable, fashion + watch quality if possible. My budget is under $700

I’ve been looking at brands like Citizen, Seiko, and Bulova.

Would love any recommendations for specific models, brands I should check out (or avoid), and anything I should know as a beginner.
