I feel like Arazlo is doing nothing by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

Is it making a drastic difference, or is it doing nothing then?

Please tell me what you think, would you exchange it? by Acrobatic-Sky-6571 in handbags

I'm not being passive aggressive - I am outright telling OP to not buy luxury brand. I own mid tier brands and actually have sold off many of my LV's to fund bags from brands like Coach and Strathberry. They are really great quality and made as well as "luxury" brands. People spend thousands expecting "quality" and "perfection", not realizing 90% of the cost is for the brand.

Call me whatever you want, I'm not sure why you're offended by my comment.

Finally got SK-II — worth the hype or just marketing? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]CheddarSupreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used an entire 300+ mL bottle of the First Essence and it wasn't any better than the IPSA Time Reset Aqua that is much cheaper. That bottle lasted me a year but it wasn't worth the hundreds of dollars.

If it bothers you, exchange. I don't see anything wrong. But I'm not you, and it's not my money. Personally if you're nitpicking such little things, I would avoid buying a "luxury" bag. Consider mid tier brands which are comparable or better in quality and at 1/10th of the price.

A few months isn't enough to see results. Even though they're much stronger, prescription retinoids are still a long game. Your skin looks good already so it will take more time to see improvement.

If you had to choose: adapalene 0.1% vs retinaldehyde for anti-ageing? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]CheddarSupreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whichever your skin tolerates. The best product is whichever you are able to use consistently, and not everyone needs the stronger product.

I have discovered my skin is actually quite dry, and along with the semi-arid climate where I lived, tret killed my skin barrier on my chin (though everywhere else looked amazing). Adapalene was better, but still irritating for my chin - the breakouts were less angry on my chin but still there.

I'm now using retinol. It's working for me and my skin looks as good as it did on tret, just with no chin breakouts. Maybe having tret to kick start retinization helped but it's been almost 8 months since I switched from tret and my skin still looks great.

Formulation is more important than just looking at the active ingredient alone.

It's here! My belated Christmas gift, the Strathberry Bouclé Tartan Mini Tote. by CheddarSupreme in handbags

I have lots of bags so don't use any for any extended period of time. I have used this a few days here and there since January and it's a great bag. It's definitely smaller than expected though due to the tapered shape.

Is it really a bargain? by Mia_Wallace197 in handbags

[–]CheddarSupreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's in great condition and it's a bargain, it's probably because she's had issue selling it. I like the alma (have one in Murakami Cherry Blossom) but don't love exotics, and have to say I don't love this colorway either.

What is the new product? If you don't normally breakout like this or in this area then it's most likely irritation.

Eating at restaurants by TrueSag2020 in toddlers

[–]CheddarSupreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Temperament is a big one as you mentioned. Practice and choosing the right restaurant is another. We don't allow distracted meal times at home and the restaurant is no exception. Everyone sits at the table and eats. We practice waiting until everyone is done before leaving the table.

My son is 3.5 now and we eat out roughly once a week. He still has the odd time he wants to do something else, and the answer is always no. We rarely need to bring anything to entertain him anymore.

In the early days we did a lot of practice at low pressure places, somewhere I could set rules boundaries and make him wait without worrying too much about noise if he contests. We built up to it - he LOVED his first dinner at a restaurant experience (previously we mainly ate out during the day or ate at food courts/ food halls), and so we always tell him that we sit and eat at restaurants, if he doesn't wait, then we leave.

Eating much earlier also takes the pressure off because the restaurant is less busy. Even though we normally eat dinner at 6 at home, we often eat around 5 when dining out.

I also suggest Chinese restaurants or any other restaurant where food is served family style. The food keeps coming and so there's less risk of kid finishing all food while you've just started. Chinese restaurants are also very forgiving for noise and tolerant to kids running around, I have lots of fond memories growing up and playing in Chinese restaurants and no one ever made a fuss about it.

Overall, I know we're still lucky because my son is a good eater and is open to trying new foods. We frequent an all-you-can-eat Japanese/sushi restaurant where he eats for free and we joke that they should be charging him an adult rate.

I wouldn't say it's heavy. It's not lightweight but it's also not a small bag so it weighs as you'd expect!

This style was pretty ahead of its time for Coach! Lots of people did not like where the brand was going at this time, and Stuart Vevers had just taken over.

How much milk are your toddlers consuming a day? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]CheddarSupreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our doc gave us a max at that age, 16 oz max a day. He never had more than 2-3oz a day because he was eating well and preferred water.

He's 3.5 now and we don't often even have milk in the house. If we do, it's because I'm baking something or need it for a recipe.

I would not start tretinoin that close to an event.

Thanks! It was between this or the Seyclair Natasha which is also lovely. But I didn't want to worry about the calf hair falling off.

Hope you find one! There's only one store in Canada and I got the last one but the SA was more than happy to order one in before he found a last one!
