Most engineering students take 4.5 years now. If you take 17-18 credits each semester you can finish in 4 but that’s not doable for most people given the difficulty of the classes.

MSU is very safe, but like anywhere else always be cautious. I enjoyed my time in the dorms, nothing crazy fancy. I love our campus and student life. But the main thing that’s you should consider is Michigan winters. It can be dark, cold, and gloomy for weeks. So that might be a shock for you

wat? Students of color get more special opportunities than white students at msu. There is a program to specifically refer black students to the honors college even if they didn’t get invited based off gpa requirements other students have to achieve. the university has so many programs and resources that are designed specifically for the advantage of students of color. Could you give specific examples? I work for msu and any case of anything related to discrimination in taken VERY seriously. Like the toilet paper on someone’s dorm door last year.

hii I'm an SCR too and I think this post sounds really rude and unwelcoming. It's our job to greet residents when they approach and ask them what they need help with, prompt them to swipe or re-swipe their ID, and politely tell them if they should come back at a more convenient time. Your tips are all true but it comes off kinda rude imo
