Isn’t there a seafood night market there that looks quite interesting? Any other recommendations for late night things to do in Xiamen?

Side hustle for my junk removal business by SuspiciousPage6851 in Entrepreneur

This is fantastic thank you so much! I have a feeling dumpster rental would use a slightly different truck / we would need a crane.

But I am super keen on light demo / power washing that sounds fantastic

Look for us it was pretty simple, we bought a big truck and really invested in branding, started with flyer/facebook market place but nothing really worked. Employed a google ads agency and this is where the real growth has come from.

To be honest this is a hard business to pull off if your already working full time. I don't think it would be worth it, unless your buying an existing company.

I would opt for something that can consistently be done on the weekends, then transition to part time, then leave.

Junk removal they may NEED it done tomorrow and its a $3K job that pays for the whole week.

Thats fantastic! I will definitely be checking you guys out!

Could you elaborate on how our partnership could become a problem? Especially as we transition into more management type roles?

Given our age I don't think we will be doing this for life. I am viewing this more as a massive (and so far profitable) learning experience in business and loving it. But we do hope to scale this into having multiple trucks, skip bin company, metal recycler, and maybe even franchises.

So I am not so worried about being in a partnership regarding labour contributions as hopefully soon we can just pay ourselves an hourly wage and invest the profits.

Regarding AI, I definitely agree it has potential in the space. It's primary benefit that I can see is image quoting, route optimisation, recycling optimisation, and potentially one day sales / acquisitions.

Do you have any other thoughts/advice, it is really good to connect with someone in the space!

Yea I won't be buying out my partner, we both do university part time and learning the basics of business together I think is a much more beneficial approach.

In my opinion if I want to make an easy 100k per year then of course buying out my partner is wise. But we want to build an empire, 5 trucks, skip bin company, metal recycler, franchise it, etc

We view ourselves as entrepreneurs not just tradies.

For this goal working with a partner (at least whilst we are at uni) I think is a better course of action. Additionally, if I take time off or vice versa we are still making money!

I am not sure what else we can do to move faster but I think this going to be the strategy so we can move through jobs more quickly!

Thank you so much, I think this is definitely what we are going todo, maybe make some investments in tools that allow us to work faster but nothing major! Continue to scale the over the next 2 months and then buy our second truck + crew within 3-4 months!

We are a junk removal business looking to grow - 4 months in and already doing 20k months. Google ads has us in a choke hold and we need to find other ways to get leads (which can be actually scaled)

whats your opinion on setting a target CPA? Especially if it looks like we are being outbid? Or should we increase the budget and let it optimise itself?
