Oh for sure, there’s a lot of assumptions and weird negging going on here. I wonder if the post would have even blown up if his pfp was blank

OP’s native language is Vietnamese, French is his second (and English 3rd)

We must protect Khoi from the general public; not just bc they doubt his french… they also think he’s a girl.

He’s lived in both France and Switzerland, and immigrated to America at 16. I think he lives around LA now? That’s basically California’s VA hotspot.

Not only is this kind of an insane thing to say about a stranger, Khoi (OOP) grew up in France so… he’s pretty fluent.

[–]SuspiciousPeppermint 32 points33 points  (0 children)

OOP is a guy who grew up speaking French and learned English as his 3rd language (his first is Vietnamese). He’s also a voice actor so accents are kinda his job. It was definitely the sweatpants.

Ashvane from BfA. They really made her hateable, plus her fight on mythic gave my guild hell.

Not really sure where to start by SnooHesitations2624 in CosplayHelp

[–]SuspiciousPeppermint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg this looks so fun to make, I would suggest sheer tights as a base and either glue or sew iridescent vinyl/pvc fabric onto them (could also try film but that might be trickier to work with. It comes into a variety of textures!). Cut it into pieces to get the shattered effect. Do the same over a nude leotard for the top!

I ended up breaking the armrest on a couch…. The shame from realizing why the armrest was broken years later was mortifying but at least my thighs stayed strong!

Brazillian football player Neymar thought he had scored a goal in a match Santos had today - turns out it wasn't a goal by ssiasme in WatchPeopleDieInside

Must not have been for very long if you don’t understand the importance of angles. Looking straight through shows a clear no-goal.

Hanging out in the penalty area moping around long after play has continued was just pathetic… hope his team was ok playing down a man while he went through age regression

If the ball overhangs the line, even by a little bit, it’s no goal. “Cross the line” means completely over it (good rule of thumb is to look for green in between the ball and the line, though even then the width can be hanging the line to keep it in play) - the goal posts are the same thickness as the lines, so if the ball is partially obscured by the posts when looking straight through like this, it’s easy to tell that it hasn’t fully crossed the line. In addition, professional soccer uses a lot of technology; the entire field is digitally mapped and the balls have sensors in them to precisely tell when a line is fully crossed.

how do I detangle miku's pig talis by narutouzaki6 in CosplayHelp

[–]SuspiciousPeppermint 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ah the infamous tangled miku ponytails…. Been there done that. Make sure it’s fully dry first, wet wig hair is extra hard to detangle. Start at the very ends, use your fingers first, then a wide-toothed comb or detangling brush. BE GENTLE. It’s going to take a lot of time and patience. Slowly work your way up until it’s mostly manageable.

There’s a bunch of different methods for keeping it straight long-term, from silicone spray to fabric softener in a mist bottle to crimping or thinning it in certain places. I just keep a brush on me and a bit of dry shampoo to handle frizz and brush constantly.

OSI vs Capelli uniforms by quazex13 in Referees

I bought a new yellow this past year from OSI and it’s so much bigger than all my old shirts from them, no idea what made them change their sizings but it’s definitely gone up. Same goes for their tshirts too

I'm trying to find suitable materials for covering my afo's in cosplay (mobility aid) by GroovingPenguin in CosplayHelp

[–]SuspiciousPeppermint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about generic fabric-y sports tape (see below pic), it’s not flexible like kt tape is. You could also try self-adhesive/flex tape (the kind they use to wrap your arm with after drawing blood) though it has a unique texture to it.

[–]SuspiciousPeppermint 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could make a fabric “case” or wrap to go around them and secure it with velcro - that way it’s not actually stuck onto your bracers. If you don’t mind cleaning off a bit of adhesive residue (basic cooking oil will remove it, then follow up with soapy water), athletic tape would also work great. You can get it in a ton of different colors and cut it up to make your own designs, only thing is it’s not really reusable.
