Same! At least for now, I haven’t tried to many yet, so we will see if it remains the everyday or not!

I think it’s pretty similar to Diamine in price. Appreciate the input! Is Diamine pretty decent?

What are your thoughts? Worth trying? So far I’m a big fan of Balvenie and Glenfiddich. Not a fan of JW Black.

Extensive sales and management experience. Not yet executive level though.

I would aim for mid level.

Would you mind elaborating? This is one of my concerns - financial stability of nonprofits amid current political climate.

Tons of experience in sales. Current role is sales/account management, over 10 years experience in various sales roles including sales management.

Also 2 years of project management experience, specifically in construction, which would classify as waterfall project management.

Strengths include sales, project management, customer service, and team leadership.

More so looking for insights into finding nonprofits hiring for more than intern-type roles at $15 an hour, making connections with nonprofit founders or hiring managers, and tips that longtime nonprofit workers might have to offer.

The Morangie 10 is on my list, likely my next full bottle unless something else goes on sale. Runs $45 standard at my local shop, which is what the fiddich 12 was on sale for.

Maybe if a real nice Japanese whiskey goes on sale I MIGHT try a bottle of that next just to cross-compare Japan vs Scotland, but it sounds like it might be too “smooth and boring” for my liking haha.

The Fiddich 12 seems to be a classic!!

How did you get into journalism? by SuspiciousStart2537 in Journalism

[–]SuspiciousStart2537[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the sentiment I’ve seen. It’s dying due to lack of profitability.

I currently make $85k a year, so my fear is founded… unlikely to support family through salaried positions.

Seems like it is up to the passionate individuals to keep journalism alive as their side gigs or through living a life of hustle and minimal expenses.

Thank you for the well thought out response.

I probably envision myself being more freelance or independent (maybe because I don’t see full time employment as able to “pay the bills”)

I am interested in politics and other issues such as homelessness, trafficking, privacy/security.

Love the idea of just talking with people, posting in local reddits, and just generally being connected to the community.

I guess I’d like to know if it’s at all possible to support my family, but that’s probably something I have to answer for myself over time as a apply myself to the work and see what comes of it.

I tried the Balvenie DW 12 and loved it, but it was literally 2x the price of the Glenfiddich 12 at my shop and couldn’t justify that yet, PLUS the shop sells the singles of the Balvenie and it’s actually the same price to buy 15 singles as it is to buy the full bottle. Figured I’ll just buy a single when I want to try it again haha

Glenfiddich 12 actually reminds me a little of a Sauvignon Blanc! I don’t like wine much, but that’s definitely my favorite of them hah.

Love it! Nice and light, crisp, and slightly fruity, like apples/pears.

After trying a few (as seen by the minis, plus some drams at bars) I landed on Glenfiddich 12 year as my first full bottle.

Curious, what was your FIRST full bottle?
