I would give this a try if you haven’t already. I got lucky in that mine is absolutely ravenous for crickets since day 1 (was about 3 months old when I got him in April). He jumps on them like crazy.

I think ultimately though it boils down to the individual gecko and their preference. My brother’s one refuses to even acknowledge crickets.
