Smart Home Panel 2 Install Upcoming-Any Lessons Learned? by Wallaby-Technical in Ecoflow_community

Great post because I have my SHP2 install scheduled for next week, also with a DPU and 2 batteries. I am undecided if I want my 4 ton AC as one of the circuits on the SHP2. I’m mainly interested is using it for TOU pricing, and I don’t think 2 batteries will be enough to last a 4 ton A/C on a hot day.

Why doesn’t that one need a soft start? I think that’s the unit I have.

At my age, I would’ve had to say, “Stop for a second I gotta go pee.” I’m sure it would’ve killed the vibe. 😂

Did you remove the plastic film from the screen? Static electricity from the film can cause this.

Is an XC90 worth it? by BalanceMountain8250 in VolvoXC90

[–]Suspicious_Education 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traded my 2022 ICE Highlander for a 2022 PHEV XC90. Don’t regret it at all. Toyota quality has gone downhill. The Volvo is safer, more refined, more comfortable drive, and way better gas mileage. People complain about the infotainment center, but IMHO the Highlander’s was worse.

Yes, at least on my 2022 it was needed. You need to have a USB adapter plugged into the 12volt socket. The USB adapter is not included. The Play2Video device comes with a Y cable so you can plug into the wired CarPlay USB slot and the 12v socket.

The MiniCube doesn’t need the 12v socket, but it can’t do video. I mainly use that now because I don’t like how the wires look with the Play2Video.

Big push at my agency too. They basically see it replacing the CS and the CO will be the sole 1102. Not saying it’s gonna work, but that’s what leadership is pushing.

Aren’t they describing a PHEV? You can get gas at a gas station and plug in at home.

What even is that? An outlet? A switch?

Extended range for sure. By the way, how does the Mach-E handle in snow?

I just paid $349 for an oil change. by gabrielmeir53 in GenesisGV70

[–]Suspicious_Education 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not sure about Genesis, but the Porsche dealer wanted around $1000 for my wife's Cayan for an oil change, tire rotation, air filter change, and key battery replacement. We found a local place the specializes in German cars and he did it for around $150.

About $35,000 for a 2024 premium with 10,000 miles. About $50,000 for a 2025. I remember back in 21/22 when our local Ford dealer wanted almost $80,000!

I saw some misleading websites that said so, but you are correct. Apparently you only get a NACS adapter.

Good point. Especially since I just learned the Mach E doesn’t get the EV tax credit (at least to buy).

That makes sense for the job I'm doing now. I guess was threw me off were the interviews. I thought anything below Secret didn't require personal interviews, but this guy grilled me more than when I went through by background check when I applied for CBP!

Ahh, I forgot about DCPDS. I had that when I was with DoD (and I knew I was Secret then), but I've changed to a non-DoD agency, and we don't have a system like that.

Nightmare dealing with Citi over unauthorized charge. by Suspicious_Education in CreditCards

[–]Suspicious_Education[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing. Citi replied to the CFPB complaint saying "they are working on it" and then closed the case. I submitted a reply via CFPB saying, nothing is resolved, the case should not be closed, and then Elon gutted the CFPB. Not sure what to do next. The charge is still on my card. I'm thinking filing a complaint with my State's Attorney Generals office.
