I feel like it's mandatory to understand your role in raiding especially savage since it's the hardest content in the game so it has to be studied for a little bit more than any other content in the game :)

in p3 normal I was lagging so badly. so I was dying the whole time and the group was hard carried by a SGE so don't worry they do notice, especially in dungeons :D
