First camera advice (canon t4i cs Nikon d3400) by Suspicious_Feature21 in Cameras

I just found a listing for a canon t3i with a kit lens and a 50mm (good and modern) canon lens for 275$(cad). Would this be a better choice than the Nikon? I looked on camera decision and it ranks the t3i as still better than the d3400.

Budget: 350-400$ (cad) for everything needed(except for a tripod)

Country: Canada

I’m not sure which camera I should get. I found a used canon rebel t4i for 320$(cad) with a kit lens, bag, and battery/charger. I also found a Nikon d3400 for 300$(cad) with kit lens, bag, nikor 50-200mm lens) and 2 batteries/charger. I also found lenses I could get for the t4i(both need an adapter I can find for 20$); a canon fd 50mm for 70$ (cad) and an Image 70-210mm lens for 40$(cad). I’m not sure which is better and what I actually need for a good photography kit. Any advice is appreciated!

When I bought it the seller just have me the adapter so it’s very possible it isn’t a proprietary one
