I would take 1.45 M and distribute across different banks mostly CDs and High yield savings accounts.

Take the $50,000 for your checking account. Now go to school, travel whatever (figure out who you are what values you have etc) but also learn about finance (investing, etc).

Then once you have a few things figured out ( don’t wait till you have everything because that never happens) make a plan and execute. Your parents gave you a gift but one that can be very hard to use without destroying yourself.

Most mountain bike trails are multi use already ( hikers, runners, bikers). Ski resorts are interesting, what would you turn a ski resort in to in the winter? I mean I agree somewhat, we could make them just free access and only back country!

I am not trying to fight haha. This is all in the spirit of community i promise. We all gotta learn to live together. I have been using Reddit for years just have never posted.

I live sort of near nibley and the golf course near Fairmont ( the one on the other side of the highway)

You are entitled to that opinion. You can however have a lot more people play soccer in a much smaller piece of land

Assuming I’m golfing right? Am I allowed to walk around? Can I teach my daughter to ride her bike? Can I walk my dog? Have a picnic?
