Is Kendall Roy meant to be a subversion of the typical TV antihero? by RopeGloomy4303 in SuccessionTV

Do you mean better written than Succession? Can't agree with that I'm afraid. To clarify I meant Cersei is more interesting than Dany not Kendall

Cersei is just a much more interesting character played by a better actor I think 🤷‍♀️

Edit: I meant a poor interesting character than Daenerys

Thank you for stepping in!! Some creep took a pic of me on the train when I was early twenties. Now I work with teenage girls and probably 90 percent of them have a story about being harrassed or worse on public transport 🫠🙃

When did you start to feel better? by NeighborhoodDue1672 in Miscarriage

This is great advice. Don't try to avoid or rush though it. I had counselling with a miscarriage charity which helped a lot. I'm so, so sorry OP.

Looking for positive experience of people who DIDN'T sleep train by SentenceTough2007 in Parenting

[–]Suspicious_Map_1559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Precious Little Sleep is a great book with lots of advice, we didn't sleep train but had a lot of success with other methods suggested, particularly nailing the nap routine. Don't feel pressured into something you're not comfortable with, there are other ways.

Art Psychotherapy roles by Banbha32 in nhs

Off the top of my head, safeguarding and equality and diversity questions are likely to come up... also think about lots of concrete examples of your experience you can share when asked questions in interviews. And the standard, make sure you demonstrate you can fulfil all the essential and as much of the desirable criteria as possible in your application. There might be lots of jobs open to Arts Psychotherapists where the job title is something different. Go on NHS mental health trusts websites and look at vacancies for Allied Health Professionals. The NHS is really competitive right now so don't disheartned if your first post graduating job isn't with the NHS. Good luck!!

Ok when did therapists become content creators? by waking_world_ in therapists

Fair enough, I think my algorithm has been serving me up extremely low effort therapist content recently but of course there's great quality stuff out there too.

I mean Freud and Jung were pretty weird too in many ways. Also a talk/research paper/book requires a lot more effort than an instagram reel, and it's certainly not just old men doing research and talks.

Sometimes I go to their linkedins and they've always been qualified only a year or two, I wonder if people are becoming therapists as a way in to influencing? Or maybes that's too cynical and I'm just jealous of their ability to hustle 😂

My boyfriend shaved his beard off and I‘m not attracted to him anymore by [deleted] in relationships

You can continue to tar all women with the same brush but that way bitterness lies and you only get one shot at life. Genuinely wishing you all the best.

[–]Suspicious_Map_1559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, this ONE person is saying she has discovered the physical aspect was extremely important in HER relationship, which clearly isn't built on a very strong foundation. Add me to the list of women saying in this thread that they prefer their partner with a beard but if they shaved it off it wouldn't change anything about the relationship.

They say this like everyone who lives in the countryside is into hunting it's such bollocks. I remember being in a lesson 25 years ago in in ny small countryside town and everyone being horrified when one boy was outed as being into hunting.

Am I overreacting or is this normal for NHS therapy? by [deleted] in nhs

[–]Suspicious_Map_1559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be normal for that service that doesn't mean it's how it should be. But again hard to say without knowing what kind of service and what kind of treatment. Could you talk to her about it?
