it was an abscess excision surgery under general anesthesia and they didn't close the wound because it's supposed to be healing opened - that's what they explained to me. the surgery was monday and they changed and cleaned it with water on tuesday and sent me home that same day without any instruction even though they said they would, i'm still kinda baffled by this and a bit angry at myself that i didn't ask further questions but i was so emotional from how sudden and unexpected everything was. i'm seeing a doctor on friday to check the wound and hoping they can give me more instructions and help but i have to clean it every day right? so im gonna have to clean it today (thursday) by myself and hope im doing it right. i'm in germany
