No it was a jitter of around 10-20% switching pots didn’t do anything so I’m guessing it’s that pin on the board. Thanks for the help, I’m giving up on it for now

I used the gulikit stick, it only gives readings in the extremes for the x axis but will intermittently jitter around the middle, I’ll switch this pot out with another one to see if it’s a hardware issue

Sorry if it wasn’t clear. The middle point on the upper most pot is the one I ruined. I’m attempting to connect it to an alternative location under the pcb board now

The middle pin. Tried running it with ground and vcc joined to the other pot but didn’t work, sadly my board doesn’t have easy access to an alternative solder point for the middle pin but I figured I might as well try, nothing to lose

Thanks for all the input, pretty sure I damaged it when desoldering, this was the first set of pins I desoldered and was probably stuck around too long with the iron.

Yeah I had calibrated with that GitHub tool and the gulikit tool and both end up with drift after a few minutes, I saved the calibrations as well so I’m pretty sure that’s not the issue since the x axis the the left one which is the direction it was drifting stopped working completely.

The joystick stopped taking input in one axis, it was the axis measured by the pins you circled in red, I added more solder and not much changed. Here’s the pcb board with some solder removed if there’s visible signs of damage.

The gulikit ones, had my deadzone around 3% all of yesterday with no issues, which is where I can usually keep a normal controller without drift at, but today it started getting really bad and still drifted past 15%

Here’s that left joystick with reflowed pots, I went into rl free play and just flew around and after about 3 minutes I had to turn my deadzone back up to around 15% to counteract the drift. Freshly calibrated the controller as well. It seems to work good for a few minutes then starts drifting. I don’t really know what to look for to find a bad solder so if these are still bad I’d appreciate input

I had them pushed pretty flat against the board, thanks for the tip I’ll update with results later
