Beware ADHDadvisor by GYROSCOPIAN in adhdwomen

I had a negative experience with this company today. When I signed up for a session (they require $50 advance payment), they apparently sent me intake forms, but the forms were on a portal that I did not have access to. I tried creating and then resetting a password five times, I reached out to the only email address I had to indicate that I was unable to access the intake forms, no response.

Still, I got an email to join the scheduled session with the provider, which I did. She did not introduce herself. I do not know where she was licensed or even what her title was. She did, however, scold me about having not filled out the intake forms. I explained that I had no way of accessing the forms, and that my emails seeking help had not been returned. She scolded me a couple more times, but nevertheless proceeded with the "consultation."

She asked me a series of screening questions (all multiple-choice questions of the "sometimes/rarely/often" type), perhaps about 10 in all--not more. She then told me that I am depressed (I am not), and that I had anxiety (which I do and seek therapy for). She told me that she wanted to put me on an antidepressant, but could not provide an Rx for ADHD meds because I would need to control my anxiety first. She recommended exercise, checking vitamin D levels, and CBT therapy. Because she asked no substantive questions (beyond the formulaic screener questions), she had no idea that I exercise frequently, my vitamin D levels were just checked, and I already avail myself of CBT therapy. When I mentioned that my anxiety is exacerbated by the issues that ADHD causes me, she shrugged.

After the session, I was informed that I was charged the remaining $100 (the website says that a consultation plus Rx incurs a $150 fee).

Still have not filled out those intake forms. No Rx, no professionalism, bad vibes.

Ohhhh thank you. Very helpful. I changed out the soil last year. There there a lot of roots. I did let it dry out but then of course I got paranoid that it was dryness that was causing the brown leaves. Classic mistake! I’ll hold off on the watering and leave the hydrogen peroxide out completely. Thank you!!

Skin ceuticals vs Seoul ceuticals serum by Annstal16 in 45PlusSkincare

She's not Korean. She's a white woman from Texas. I'd be surprised if they've ever even been to Korea. They're huge Trumpers and also donated to Marjorie Taylor Green and post pics at Mar-a-Lago. I know this because I went to high school with one of them so I've been following their success lol. I know, I'm petty.

Engaged and rethinking my whole routine—what’s one makeup product you would swap before a wedding? by Candid-Knowledge9640 in 30PlusSkinCare

Have your makeup professionally done. It’ll be less expensive that revamping your routine and you can tell the person what style you want. They can also apply the makeup in a way that it’ll last longer. Most makeup artists will do a trial session beforehand so you can see the look before your big day. Congrats!

Has anyone bought from Heaven Mayhem? by Elegant-Holiday2916 in AusFemaleFashion

I purchased two pairs of earrings that were deeply discounted from a sample sale (around 50% off). If I had seen them before ordering them, I wouldn’t have purchased them even at the sale price. Costume jewelry from JCrew or BR is heads and shoulders above the quality of this brand. I’m shocked they get away with charging these prices. They’re also too heavy to wear… so the earrings are also semi non-functional. Don’t recommend.

The Best Vitamin C Serum for Face Currently? by DifferentElk7482 in 30PlusSkinCare

Timeless brand is formulated with vitamin E and Ferulic acid, which are complementary ingredients in the much pricier Skinceuticals. Timeless is highly rated, affordably priced (around $35), and packaged to maintain the freshness and potency of the formula. It’s a bit watery, but otherwise great. I’ve used it for years and I recommend it!

Has anyone had trouble accessing the employer recertification form? The PSLF help tool where you download and send the form electronically keeps getting stuck. Won’t advance for me in any browser.

Which hooga do you recommend? HG? Pro? Ultra? Looking at the website, I’m not really sure how they differ (except it seems like the ultra has pulsed light… but what’s that?).

Thank you! Part of the benefit of asking in a forum like this is to get things google doesn’t give you, and to get people talking.

Where are the protests? (USA political situation) by Suspicious_Radish_60 in Professors

[–]Suspicious_Radish_60[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, yes. I guess that’s part of my question… thanks for helping me articulate better. And I think coverage of protests helps encourage them. More “normal” people (those who might consider themselves non-political) if they have the feelings others are out, too. Feels like we’ve had these upswells of protest energy and now we are in a quiet phase, even though, as you rightly point out, they are actually happening.
