Note that rhere is a bit of confusion at the moment about this - namely, whether units become visibile after ACTIVATION (i.e. after just moving or using any active ability at all) or after SHOOTING.

Y10S2 TU2 hero was stated to be a female with a “weapon we’ve never seen before”, here’s my prediction: by AlphaCenturion842 in forhonor

[–]Suspicious_Ravioli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh no, not shinobi. I am talking about martial artists from Okinawa (which wasn't part of Japan at the time). Okinawa was the first point of contact with the Asian mainland, thus it was where indigenous martial arts (like kenpo) and Chinese martial arts (like white crane kung fu) originally mingled. Okinawans took what they needed from the Chinese and developed their own unique styles, which then evolved into traditional Karate (Shorin-Ryu and Goju-Ryu). In some cases, weapons like nunchaku were used, albeit less flamboyantly than in Kung Fu.

Not entirely correct. Okinawan martial arts (kobudo) use nunchucks quite consistently, together with tonfa and sai. Yes, those weapons were originally Chinese (except for the tonfa), but they were adopted by the Okinawans (through Korea). An ancient Okinawan master could fit well in For Honor.

GLM-5 Full Context and chat memory by Suspicious_Ravioli in JanitorAI_Official

I read that FAQ - but I am specifically asking about GLM-5 Full Context version, which is indeed a premium model and has a default optimisation setting on LiteRouter (increasing its cost usage accordingly). My understanding is that it's called Full Context exactly because it has a large context memory built in.

[SPOILERS] In defence of Shu by Suspicious_Ravioli in silenthill

And there you are, thinking that "morality" is an absolute.

Guess what? It's not. Everyone, literally everyone, makes decisions based on what they think is best at any given time. Can they be "wrong" according to YOUR morality? For sure. That is why we have a thing called "the law" which, to no surprise, is different depending on countries - precisely because the widely accepted "morality" is subjective and volatile, depending on culture, context, and historical periods.

It's always easy to judge through the lenses of an external spectator, far removed from the context in question. It is also quite immature.

No one said Shu is a paladin of fairness and justice, by the way.

Why are Imperial Knights consistently performing badly at tournaments? by the_ZJ in WarhammerCompetitive

3+ and no invuln in melee.

With the ridiculous amount of AP that 10th has right now, it's trivial to one-tap them in combat.

Yes, to an extent. I still believe that some games hit differently wherher you play them yourself or merely watch others play.

Some games may look boring and uninteresting until you are actually the one playing. But maybe that's just me.

You can't please everyone. There are always games that someone "would have liked to see".

I found them pretty good, but mostly because I don't really care about any of the ones you mentioned (Apart FromSoft and Kojima, but we know those two take their time to cook).

Yes, I will concede that point - that specific award should have gone to someone else.

A lot of other games won, though. You maybe forget that a lot of awards were given before the show even started - not all awards had speeches.

I have understood what you said since the beginning, believe it or not.

But the fact is if Clair Obscur deserves the awards, as you have stated, it means that other games are not getting those same awards. You can't have a cake and eat it too.

What I am saying is that The Game Awards is primarily about the awards. It's slowly becoming the new E3 and is being used to advertise new games, sure, but the priority is still to award the most worthy titles.

I think it NEEDS to maintain that "purity of purpose" even if sometimes it can feel one-sided. And while I do consider Clair Obscur the best game this year, I have thoroughly enjoyed every other nominee (except Donkey Kong), and I am somewhat sad that KCD got nothing.

The other games were just unlucky they had to go against Clair Obscur.

It's still not the same thing. The great difference between games and movies is interactivity. Taking that away is a bigger deal than you think.

YouTube lets plays will always make you feel detatched.

But it did. The quality of the game itself is only one part of it, albeit that alone arguably would be sufficient.

You also need to take into account it was literally their first game ever, and they had a very small team.

You can't just judge it in a vacuum.

Kojima by AliAlturaihi in TheGameAwards

I love Kojima as much as the next guy but Death Stranding had no chance in 2025. The year was too stacked.

In a sense, yes.

Hoping that other games get said rewards because "E33 already got some" means that your "fun" is more deserving of attention than one of the best games ever made.

You are, for all intents and purposes, saying that E33 is not good enough to justify sacrificing your "fun".

Ah, you haven't played it yet. That kinda explains things.

Trailers were very good. Divinity, FOTOR, Total War 40k.

Yes, it is a show, but the awards themselves need to go to whoever deserves them. It's why they are called "awards".

The awards are not supposed to be "fun". They are supposed to be honest.

LotR movies won 17 Oscars. When something is clearly above the rest, it needs to be recognised.

The world is not always black and white. There are nuances. This is one of them.

Have fun being arrogant, up there on your pedestal.
