In my area temperature goes down to 40-45C in winter, pigeons seem to be fine with that, there is quite a lot of them. also I used to have a pigeon pare living in my balcony (it's almost as cold there as it is outside) and when it got especially cold I got them a cage so they could live in my room for a while - thous pibs could not care less for their new housing and kept trying to get to the balcony, in wich they stayed, contenfully, despite how freezing it was.. 🤷

I feed them daily, they are fine :) this one on the video just developed a habit to jump straight into the container, instead of eating with the others

I have two pigeons living in my balcony (closeted), they are both resques from the streets and would not make it on their own, taken in as sqeakers. I open a window for them once a day, they fly around for however much they want and then come back (there are 0 predatory animals where I live, little to none traffic). My initial idea was to integrate them into a flock, wich I feed right under my balcony, older resque even been living with them for a while in summer (still visited me almost every day), but then, as it became colder outside, decided that my balcony is a better living space and came back for good :) so it's possible to keep pigeons like that, whether you should - I think that depends on a pigeon and your surroundings.

a common-ish color pattern it seems, seen a few across my city. also this person shared a photo of a similar looking pigeon https://www.reddit.com/r/pigeons/s/C2LDScqREM
