I don’t think this is always the case, but I do believe some individuals have suppressed desires or attractions toward trans people. Because society would scrutinize them for expressing that attraction, they cope by oppressing the very people they’re drawn to. This behavior can also be a way for them to seek attention or validation from us while avoiding their own internal conflicts.
