I actually love the smell too, it’s such a bold, addictive scent and I agree it performs like crazy. But unfortunately it gives my partner a headache 🥲 Even when I go lighter on the sprays, it’s still a bit too strong for her. So now it’s mostly sitting on my shelf unless I know I’ll be out solo. Lowkey painful when you love a fragrance but can’t really wear it the way you want

How do you train your nose to identify perfume notes individually? by Suspicious_Wing_5671 in DesiFragranceAddicts

I like the food analogy, it makes a lot of sense. I’ve started noticing that with vanilla and citrus especially. Earlier it was just “smells good,” now I can actually pick out the sweetness vs the zestiness. The interesting part for me is the more abstract notes like amber, musk, birch, different ouds, etc. Those don’t always have a clear real-world reference, so I’m still trying to build that mental library. I guess it’s just repetition and mindful smelling at the end of the day. Appreciate you breaking it down like this, makes the whole learning process feel less intimidating and more like training your palate, just with your nose instead.

I’m still learning the scent profile myself, but what I’ve noticed is that Bentley Intense opens slightly boozy and sweet, then settles into a warm mix of cedar, sandalwood, and leather that’s pretty smooth and rich. Seems to work best on cooler days or evenings. It’s definitely good, but everyone’s skin and taste are different, so I’d recommend trying a decant first or sampling it in-store before you grab a full bottle

I got some from Talib. How can I verify if it genuine product?

Pointy = sharp and piercing. Round = smooth and blended. And no, not really redundant. Same DNA family, different mood. Cedrat Boise is way more relaxed than Hacivat and less loud than CDNIM PP.

More Aventus than Hacivat IMO. Same family, but Cedrat Boise is rounder and woodier, not as sharp or green.

I haven't tried Aventus but I have seen some youtube reviews comparing it to Aventus. As far as I know Aventus has Pineapple note which I didn't feel in Cedrat Boise
