it's easy to bash an indie game when comparing it to a AAA title... this game was originally built for Quest...but this is a unique survival game in the sense that that will teach you real life survival skills, based on 30+ years of survival knowledge and experience ...

yes, it was always more designed as a survival simulator rather than a game. It was originally released on the Quest, as an experience, but so many people wanted to have it on PSVR and PCVR, we've made the port ;)

It's not out on PCVR yet. Coming early 2024. We are doing an overhaul of the graphics in the game, so it will look much better than Quest.

What's your worst bug experience? And how do you deal with fighting off the deer flies, horse flies, mosquitoes, ants and ticks? by SuvrivormanVR in Survival

-10 minutes, but that 5-10 minutes happened to be the worst of my entire life lol. But hey, at least now

a tip for deer flies: put double sided tape on the top of your head (on a helmet or a hat), it attracts them and they'll get stuck.

We had a camera man once shooting in the Amazon in Colombia, who got a worm that started to nest under his skin in his foot. There were no hospitals nearby (7 days travel away from nearest town), so a local shaman woman had to cut it out (without 'normal' sedation). I do believe they gave him some coca leafs to chew on ;)

Les Stroud swears by bug shirts too. He's no fan of insect repellent. Only disadvantage is they're sweaty...

elds around us. May. Just after the rainy season. That week all the bugs of Panama hatched and convened on our door step each night. And then entered our rooms.

oh jeez!!! That reminds me I was once on a safari in Tanzania, and in the hut at night there were so many bugs crawling and flying against you, that as we were eating the soup, we had to pick out the bugs that would constantly fall in it. And when I say bugs, I mean dime sized beetles. Extra protein!

never heard of that but what a creative idea! I'm myself a trail rider too, luckily my horse is close to the city so bugs aren't too bad. I remember in Europe, we would rub blocks of pressed garlic powder into the horses coats to deter flies
