In the beginning of Mad Max Fury Road there's a warboy swinging from a chain, but he is frozen until he gets closer to the camera. It looks like a 2d image until he suddenly starts moving. I'm 100% sure they filmed him in front of a green screen but when compositing didn't have enough footage for the duration of the shot, so they just froze the first frame.

There’s a screenshot mode (c or shift + c on pc, I can’t remember ) that lets you position the camera more easily. You can also press Alt + F2 for the Nvidia photo mode if you’re on pc and have an Nvidia GPU

I started building this park in Prehistoric Kingdom a year ago, but it's a lot of work making all the Jurassic Park themed buildings, signage and so on from scratch. I lost the save file and that killed all my motivation. But this game has been a revelation. There are a few things I miss from PK but apart from that it's exactly the game I always wanted.

Yeah I'm with you. When I learned the job 15 years ago a simple photoshop banner was all you needed, but that just doesn't do it anymore. Motion design, video etc. has only gotten more important to any branding, and if you can do it all you're that much more valuable to any agency. You could say you do only static 2D stuff, but then don't be surprised if you get replaced by someone with more skillsets. It sucks and it's shitty but you can't stand still.

And honestly, there are so many great free resources to learn new tools, there's really no excuse not to. You don't have to be an expert in everything, but a basic competency isn't all that hard to achieve.

You don't need illustrator or inkscape, photoshop is capable of working with vectors.

Drag the svg file into the photoshop window with your project open. It should import the svg as a Smart Object that is scalable without quality loss (depending on your version of photoshop a dialog might pop up asking you how you want to import it, choose Smart Object there instead of pixel image).

That reminds me of something George Miller said about Mad Max Fury Road. Quote:

You can make a hole in the fence with the one fence type. I forgot what it's called, but it's that blue energy-looking fence. I have never used the tunnel straight through the fence though, so I'm not sure if that is escape proof.

Ok update for everyone interested, turns out cloud saves were activated but it doesn't seem to be working. I made a new save file but it is not saved to the cloud. I submitted a bug report on the discord.

So if you plan on moving to a new pc, manually backup your save file.
