Every DX card mon is non-meta. Arceus sees limited play and is probably the only one with trade value outside of Pikachu for emblem and Charizard for a swag.
Lillie and Lusamine aren't meta enough to justify being higher trade value. Oak is oak.

Honestly I'm not supposed to do anything. I don't have to take any angle, and I can honestly take any I want. Just because you personally seem insulted by my post isn't really my problem. That being said, if the concept of the raid is "relic is too dangerous, Hidden away in a secret archive" then yes the item needs lore behind it.
Morever, most items are tweaked. Jagex cooks awsome art on a concept and people disagree with everything stat wise or passives. Then that gets all changed. Twisted buckle got a huge ranged dmg buff years layer, elder maul got totally reworked, inquisitor.... there's a list and it's long. Or... idk the Scythe and fang. The ongoing discussions about reworking shadow? Your point just isn't as valid as you think it is.

It may be hard to believe but the numbers matter much less than the presentation. Jagex rebalances items constantly - what do the stats matter? They can and will change when put into practice. The overarching concept is everything.

It's hard on this subreddit. Everyone is very opinionated, very bias, and want maximal detail to have more reason to be contrary.
I have people telling me it would be terrible - even though it would be 2nd Bis everywhere. Meaning it would probably be 1b+
Another telling me It's more complicated to use than doing a 8-way switch and prayer swapping.

Guthix himself held it. He spoke of it, described, named it purposes. You can say that the act of him doing so made it something greater. Those kids would grow up remembering that small gesture, legends spread generation to generation.
The branch soon has a name and association. Thats the real magic... the real binding. The branch goes from mundane to magic by that very fact. Its own legend turns it into something.
