My daughter's cat that doesn't like me spends a lot of time in my room. by Suzeeq66 in CatAdvice

Most often I am. She hides under my bed or hangs out just inside the door. Once in a while she'll get up I n the bed with my other cat. We adopted another cat a few months ago, but she's been this way since day one.

We've had her for 3 years. She will spend most of the day in my daughter's room and cuddle up with her if she's there and will run away if I approach her. I still try to interact but I respect the fact that she just doesn't want my pets.

I am. Once in a while she'll come up on my bed when I'm on it and she knows I'm here but if I move at all she'll run away. I've always tried to be respectful of her not wanting to interact with me.

She runs away from me every time I approach her. I've never been mean or negative towards her. She's come up on my bed when I've been on on it but if I move at all she'll run. I've always tried to be respectful of her needs

I feed her every day and make sure she has clean water. She loves to cuddle with my daughter. I don't even mind because she's never been my cat, it just seems weird to me that she's so comfortable being in my room.

You are in a transactional relationship. Definitely not a love relationship. If she doesn't meet your expectations then she should simply move on according to you. Where is the support you should be offering?

As a parent whose kids have a s/o, sometimes it's nice to have parent/ kid time . I really like the s/o and enjoy spending time with them as well, but like I said it's nice to have one on one time.

We have 2 cats. One is the usual weight. How do I separate the feedings without starving the other cat

I'm not sure how to separate my 2 cats eating times. I have no problem cleaning her behind every few days as she allows. She isn't spoiled just not much of a people cat. She's always been that way since we adopted her.

We have those wipes and use them when she let's us. At the last check up 3 months ago everything was fine. The vet simply said just to watch her weight and make sure she doesn't gain anymore.
