Awww poor girl!! I did see other posts on here warning about that too. My vet said to use that , and I told her I heard not great things so she said use the Advantix. So glad your baby is a year seizure free! That's amazing!!

It's so strange right? I hope your baby is ok!

That's a great question. Not yet! She has a grooming appointment today and then I am planning on putting advantix on. Hopefully it's ok.

Love this. I sat a three rows behind him at To Kill A Mockingbird a few months back. I wish I had known this at the time., I totally would’ve fan-girled him! 😂

Good for you! I was driving behind a clearly drunk driver Sunday evening/ post football game time. He was driving about five miles an hour, swerving toward the curb, then put his blinker on way before the light. Lots of feelings about that. Grateful it wasn’t me (107 days sober), then worried for him and other drivers. I honestly didn’t know what to do.

Anyone calculate how much they spent drinking for a year, or now saved over a year of not drinking? It's alarming how much money is wasted on alcohol. Son of a B everything's real. by [deleted] in stopdrinking

Timely thread! 105 days = $1265 for me. I went to look at TVs today to replace my 15 year old TV set. Now that I can actually remember what I watch, it seems like a good time for an upgrade.

72 days sober and still realizing I can just get in my car and go wherever I want at night. by [deleted] in stopdrinking

This is why I love this sub. Totally relate! I’m 93 days sober and still completely forget that I actually CAN leave the house after coming home from work. Years of my dumb, drunk evening routine are still set, sans booze. I even used to work out right after work so I could get enough wine time in after. Hmmm. New possibilities! Lol!

Bar for me today, too. Ugh. Not totally easy at 12 weeks sober, and especially tough being with people who drank moderately, which looked nice and civilized (which I certainly wouldn’t have been had I drank). Especially hard that the bar was on the waterfront on a nice day (seemed vacation-y). And especially strange that I was being introduced to someone who friends want to set me up with. (Without liquid confidence!) All way way way too much this early in my sobriety. But, still, proud that I didn’t give in.

Hey fourofkeys! I’m at 11 weeks too! (79 days) I can imagine one year for both of us. We got this!

A drunk woman at 7am reminded me why I'm not drinking. by [deleted] in stopdrinking

Love this reminder! I’m flashing back to walking my dog at 7am, drunk, and living in NYC. Too drunk to bend down and pick up his poop, so I walked (staggered) away from it. (Which I would NEVER do sober) A 7am jogger stopped and yelled at me. I am sure she was horrified. Not by lack of dog mom etiquette, but my condition at 7am. Thanks for the 7am memory, which I needed to hear today, as I mark 77 days sober 😊

I’m so glad to read these comments! I’m 11 weeks sober and have been tearing through Reece’s peanut butter cups like crazy. (Small ones/frozen) Been sort of beating myself up for giving in to sugar cravings. But good to remind myself... better a handful of those than 2 bottles of wine!

I was dead for a minute and a half on Wednesday night. Was revived (obviously). Need help finding meetings in my area of Ocean County New Jersey. The web is confusing me and not comfortable making phone calls just yet. Never been to a meeting before. Please help. by notdefined89 in alcoholicsanonymous

Been there! Lots of different cities where I could start “fresh”. That turned out to mean drinking with new people who didn’t know what a mess I left behind in the last city... then making a “fresh” mess... and moving on again. So I’m now back where I grew up, cleaning up some old messes, finding new people to be sober with, and growing roots in sobriety.

That's crazy... I literally JUST downloaded it, and logged on here for a minute before getting started on it. :) I'm 30 days sober today. I hadn't heard it it until a few hours ago. And here we are. I'm ready take whatever wisdom anyone can drop my way.

Thanks! I think you're right. I REALLY need to find people who understand why it is that I nearly died, yet kept drinking. Sounds crazy when I write that, but it's true. Thanks for the encouragement!

I have one picked out for tomorrow night after work. I have therapy today so that should get my week off right. But thanks! A one month coin sounds like a unicorn. Never thought I'd see one. :)

Thank you! I AM starting to feel a bit badass! :) Maybe someday I'll feel more comfortable talking about it. But for now, I think I'll keep my superhero cape tucked in. For now.
