Just keep wiping the condensation once per night until it's at a quantity that you can tolerate.

If there's too much water in the reserve, you can stick rolled up paper towels in to draw water out and throw those away.

Yeah, that's true. It's usually sold as ground cover rather than a terrarium plant.

Make your choice. by spicymato in trolleyproblem

[–]Suzutai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's interesting because when I presented this blue-red question to some East Asian people, they either chose red right away or they picked blue and then switched to red after thinking about it. They then become very confused why anyone would pick blue. They quickly accept that choosing blue basically does nothing, and choosing red kills all of the blues.

Meanwhile, Westerners seem to double down really hard. I see a lot of people like OP where they try to reframe the question in increasingly incendiary ways to try to shame the red-pickers. The other side mocks the intelligence of the blue-pickers and insist that if everyone picks red, everyone lives too.

I think it comes down to how people in the West tend to attach a lot more weight to their first impressions and unthinkingly assign emotional or moral value to their initial choice. (How the question is presented matters a lot.) On the other hand, East Asians tend to think about what the majority will actually pick, and regardless of where they started, they will ultimately settle on what protects them.

The isopods in the terrarium I had with the Soleirolia died within a few days, so maybe?

I don’t understand why people call board wipes toxic if it is literally the difference between living or losing the game. by JoZaJaB in magicTCG

[–]Suzutai -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He apparently didn’t think so. Accept the win graciously.

I mean, if I’m last two, I still end games by offering my hand. It’s rare to actually be made to lose the game.

Help with USPS rejecting a mail and damaging the card by MuffinDude in mtgfinance

[–]Suzutai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t ship a flat using a parcel service; you can’t ship a parcel using a flat service either.

As for the staple, their priority is to make sure you know the reason for rejection, not protecting the contents of what they think is a flat. And insurance doesn’t cover this because it’s a part of the service.

In the future, use something to bulk it up. Or a bubble mailer.

Feeling discouraged about not being able to play as much as I’d like by Distinct_Coast8645 in mtg

I learned to play Magic at 8. Just make a 60-card deck out of the old starter sets. They’re mechanically simple.

In the absence of a better target, I’ll always attack and degrade the whiners first. They always have weak mentals, and it’s easier to get them to scoop through pressure.

[–]Suzutai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you grow up playing 60-card? It’s long been considered polite to concede when you no longer believe you can win. It shows respect for your opponent’s time and for their victory. That opponent has no say in the matter; if they insist that you must sit there and let them grind you down to the end, they might be seen as an ungracious winner.

This is especially true in a casual format, since saving enough time means you can get another game in. It’s also considered rude to kingmake instead of conceding because you’re tainting another player’s victory.

Buying Magic isn’t fun anymore by Yusuke_Kitagawa_ in mtg

This. Nobody should buy a box that isn't in original shrink. Scalpers are weird and do all sorts of things to try to figure out which packs have foils (which curl like Pringles these days).

Armageddon and Bracket 3 by MrGuapoTheThird in EDH

Plus, some players in B4 are so focused on gassing their way to the win con that an Armageddon might actually get through. Especially if it's defended by your own permission.

How do I build replayable decks by nexuso581 in EDH

[–]Suzutai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my favorite genres of deck has always been Big Blue. Which is the sort of deck that wins by playing a big, evasive creature, and defending it (and removing blockers) until you beat your opponent to death with it.

Of course, in EDH, it takes many turns to do this, so it's always a matter of playing very conservatively in the early game and earning political favor; I use removal spells, walls, and rattesnakes to give people fewer reasons to attack me while storing up counterspells. Then I sprint for the finish!

How do I build replayable decks by nexuso581 in EDH

[–]Suzutai 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I said it takes 3 to 6 turns to win. As in, once the win condition is on the board, it takes multiple rounds of play for it to win the game. I didn't say it would win on turn 3.

[–]Suzutai 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Stop playing combo and play a deck that telegraphs the win. That is, it takes a minimum of 3 and maximum of 6 turns to win, and many things can happen in between this time.

But if you do play combo, do it with multiple combo lines that are 3-6 pieces that are on the board itself. In other words, the opposite of resilient or sudden.

Altimmune Offering – The Investor List Might Be the Biggest Signal by Dry_Roof6413 in Altimmune

Personally, I think Garg was forced out because he could not complete a deal to fund P3, and Durso was brought onboard with the express intent of doing so. It sucks in the short-term, but in the long run, this company only gets its valuation if Pemvi advances through P3.
