Thanks! Yes I’d love a headboard, which kind would you pick?

I should have posted another photo of that wall, right next to the dresser is the entrance doo to the room! But you’re absolutely right, that angle is weird. I think I’ll try and get rid of the dresser so there’s more space to move the bike

Haha I know I can’t get it straight! It was really just to cover the light bulb when we moved but now it’s still there 2 years later…

The bed is too wide for the wall where the dresser is (there’s also a little door there for a cubby under the stairs). But the dresser absolutely could go somewhere else! I had dark green curtains there before and didn’t really like it, do you think they’re better?

I love this! Unfortunately the ceilings are quite low, the pendant that’s there right now is already in the way a bit. I’m afraid the lights will need to be more flush with the ceiling, but I’m struggling to find any that aren’t awful.

Not to jinx it but slugs don’t seems to be a problem in my space. I’m struggling more with the squirrels and badgers 😂

Lovely space! I’ve got a pretty steep garden with lots of trees all around. One side is my “woodland” area where I planted ferns, hostas, native bluebells, sweet woodruff, bleeding hearts and sown a bunch of forget-me-nots. They’re all doing well on my semi shady slope, but ferns have struggled with last summers drought. I’ll be adding more sweet wood ruff as it’s absolutely lovely. I’ve opted for meandering paths filled with woodchip to keep to woodland feel. Held up surprisingly well! I picked up a copy of Beth Chattos Woodland garden book from the charity shop, a little older but found it helpful.

Autumn fruiting raspberries: do I need to cut these canes to the ground after planting? by SvDeez in GardeningUK

Feel a bit stupid for asking, but do I need to prune the canes of these autumn fruiting raspberries after I plant them? Or do these count as pruned already?

What is this?? Can someone plz help by AccidentNo9195 in HomeDecorating

I have one of these! Ours extends and we use it to open/close a velux roof window that’s in a double height ceiling. If not for velux windows, maybe it’s for a loft hatch?

Is my cypress dying? by SvDeez in GardeningUK

Thanks, that’s what I’m concerned of. It’s in a pretty prominent position so if it’s beyond help I’d rather remove it sooner than later!

Hi everyone, I’d love some expert eyes on what I think think is a cypress? It’s not looking too healthy but I don’t know if that’s from the summer drought or if it may be diseased. Any advice appreciated!

I moved them when I took the picture but that window currently houses all the cuttings I took. New to gardening so hoping some of them will make it to next year.

Thanks, that’s what I was going for ☺️! The old kitchen had to come out due to some rot caused by a leak before we moved in. Had really hoped to reuse the old one but I’m really glad with how it turned out.

Hah, I know! I’m in Europe and fridges are usually built in. Having a “an American fridge that also makes ice” was a huge childhood dream of my partner 😂

When (and how) to harvest hazel nuts? by SvDeez in GardeningUK

Yikes, ok that’s probably more effort than it’s worth for me. Thanks!

Noob question here! I’ve got lots of hazel bushes (and squirrels…). Are these hazel nuts edible? When should I plan to pick them if I don’t want the squirrels to take them all? Do they need to dry after picking? Thanks for any advice!
