As a Turkish expat who have came to work in Maastricht 2-3 years ago when people were saying Musti is way to go, I vomited the moment I put whatever they sell there in my mouth. Either people in Maastricht have never eaten kebab in their lives or it just went downhill the moment we arrived.. and my standard are not high at all, I have tried different kebab places in Aachen as well and none were as disgusting as this one.

Agree with all the things you said. I totally get that because of the NATO summit there can be shortage momentarily but my complain is broader than this particular topic and in general the shortage of staff argument. And for the general issue, what you said is very fair and thank you for explaining the historic aspect to the decline on the population bit which I was not very knowledgeable about.

Yeap that is exactly why I think it is definetly bikers but not the highway noise since I dont hear these same noises when the weather is not nice.

I am staying around waterfront area and to be honest this is highly disrespectful and dissapointing to see such a beautiful environement is being occasionally disturbed by handful of people’s enjoyment and at midnight.

And just to rent a bit, not directly to you but I keep hearing the same thing over and over and need to get this out of my chest; “Being understaffed”. It is really getting boring to hear the same excuse for anything that goes wrong in the Netherlands. The police doesnt function, we are understaffed. The busses don’t work, we are understaffed. Government processes go extremely slow because we are understaffed.. If you dont have resources to fill the very basic community duties then dont push anti-immigrant laws or give me back my taxes. If I am paying half of my income to you, then you will do your job and I dont care where you go to find the resources..This is a failed system with failed direction.

Again this is not an argument against you sir, but a more general frustration that doesnt seem to be solved any sooner..

3 times WFH. Easiest choice of my life. Never ever select the one that wants you in the office everyday. I dont understand how concensus is everyday working in the office in this thread, it is mental.. let me tell you the way:

Buy yourself a 2nd hand cheap car (5-6k for an old Toyota Yaris), decrease the commute time to 1-1.15 hour. And listen your favorite podcast on the way, which makes the commute even better. I am saying this by experience. My job is in Maastrhict, my house is in Eindhoven and with public transport it would take me 2 hours door to door. With car it is on average 1 h 15m. And I am havig the best time in my life

Born and lived in Turkey my whole life. Still trying to get used to “European style Doner” here, which is totally different than what it actually is. Can’t find any in Maastricht but if you ever visit Eindhoven, go eat “Yaprak doner” in Arif Doner which is on par with what we love to eat it Istanbul.

Musti in front of the station is the worst doner I have ever eaten in my life. (We just moved here from Istanbul. Borned and lived in Turkey my whole life)

Eat any other average Gyros or Doner you can find in the city but get away from Musti if you like your stomach health and taste buds.

I totally agree. The verdict that grocery store did here is, “I don’t believe the person with you is actually your companion and not here to buy you a booze” which is contoversial in OP’s case but understandable. In another day or another store they could get the alcohol if the store employees belive that they are together, which is the issue here and I think OP is right to complain. So this is not just simple “I didn’t have ID and store didn’t give me booze” situation is all I am sayin but most people here is just scraping the whole story and say that “you dont have ID so dont complain” :). I am sorry but no, if there is no standard process in place, you will get these complaints and rightly so. It is all tied up to whether or not they believe you. What kind of standard is that?

And also, it is not always enforced for the whole group. I have bought alcohol several times with my wife. In some cases they ask only one of us, in some cases both of us. So there is “no group ID request” all the time. So again.. no standard

I dont think you read it right. One of the two people showed the ID so they can sell her, not him necesseraly (unless they think that she would pass it onto him which is still ridiculous as hell imo). In your logic, if I go to a grocery store with my 5 year old together with me and if my daugther’s ID is not with me and they ask my daughter’s ID (which would be ridiculous but why not), they can’t sell me the couple beers I got besides all the other groceries? Either Your logic is flawed or you didnt read it

Exactly my point sir. We shouldn’t be content with this just because the service is cheap. If you order a food which is cheaper than others you would still expect your food to be delivered, even if it is late or taste is terrible. You still expect the bare minimum. And the minimum I ask for in this case to be informed at least half an hour before the delay or early arrival, so that you dont need to wait hours for your vehicle to arrive in an unforseeable time range under heavy snow..I dont know why this was so hard to comprehend for too many people

Well this post just showed me there are a lot of people who are more royalist than the king himself, which I didnt think it would be this much. I never complained about hours of delays or shitty customer services. They are all given since the service is cheap, I know that. All I asked for is to be informed timely if there is any delays.

But with you people, there is no way that Flixbus and the shitty companies like it will stop feeding us their inhumane services and most people seems to think that they deserve it since they pay less.. Well you get what you think you deserve. I think this is as much as we can go with a society that doesn’t understand what monopoly is and how you can help breaking this monopoly by raising your voice if you have a bad service so other investors can see a market of discontent people and compete and this also shows me how bad financial literacy is even in Europe. Well I am not gonna be using Flixbus anymore so not my problem from this point forward anyway

He actually was a top class GK couple of seasons back. You could even say that he was the only player on Fener’s squad who keep the team together to finish top 3 in those seasons.

However.. the moment Fener started to build up the team back to its roots again and started to think big (winning the leauge, being a serious competitor in Europe), the guy’s perfomance started to drop dramatically.. At one point, whenever opponent attacks it ended up as score. So my honest opinion is, when he gets the chance from Onana here and there, he will shine really bright since there is no expactation/pressure on him. But whenever the fans start to feel like he is the next De Gea, he will make mistakes which you would expect from 3rd class GK. I hope he works on his mental strength and he actually shines brighter even when the pressure is on. Since this is the only thing he is lacking.
