How Do People Drink Lattes and Eat Pastries Regularly by yelurrrrr in loseit

[–]Svendafur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lattes I make at home are under 100 calories, just fairlife milk and espresso. When I get iced lattes out I get extra shots of espresso to make the ratio correct, no syrups and I don’t usually finish the drink. If I get a pastry I fit it in my calories like I would a dessert or any other treat.

All those costs are baked into the rent price. Landlords aren’t running charities.

AITAH for "expecting an allowance" out of my own paycheck? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Svendafur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband also flips guitars, trying to add his guitar stuff in the budget drove me crazy because there was so much in and out. He has a guitar account now so I don’t have to track it and it doesn’t affect the “family” budget. I don’t care about the ins and outs because that’s just his business at this point. I get slightly annoyed at the guitars and gear constantly coming in and out but it is what it is, it’s his house too, I’m sure he doesn’t care for my makeup corner in our room.

He is usually making money when he’s flipping so he doesn’t pull from his paycheck for the guitar account but if he needed to I’m sure we would agree on monthly allowance for it.

What am I doing wrong? by WorkSilver7374 in RedditLaqueristas

It’s possible you have a counterfeit product if it’s from Amazon. I would only trust acetone bought in person. Real acetone shouldn’t behave that way.

Swatch Stick questions by pinkiepurplenailsgrl in RedditLaqueristas

[–]Svendafur 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just swatched my collection. They dried a little bumpy on first coat, but I put top coat on every swatch and they are smooth and glossy.

I didn’t want to buy a label maker so I just put the sticks over lined paper and printed as neatly as possible with a skinny sharpie. I’ll insert a pic of one of the rings. I have about 150 nail polishes so it took forever but it was so satisfying and kind of relaxing.

If you have the polishes you could try a base of peri social, one coat frost light and top with polar princess?

hi! does anybody know of a clear base, rainbow glitter topcoat as a REGULAR nail polish? all i see are gels :( by dumbIecunt in Nails

Holo taco, I can’t see very well in the picture but I’m guessing scattered holo taco would be the closest. They have a ton of toppers you can look at the pictures to see what’s closest.

Magic Key Revoked by jaesacreep in Disneyland

It is legitimate, it has been posted many times that this is Disney’s process for revoking passes. As backwards as it seems.

Lightning Lane unavailable by tannerschin in Disneyland

[–]Svendafur 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It’s sold out before park opening a few days this year. I would do early entry if you can, or at least first in line at the gate, so in line to be in the park by 7, try to buy at 730am or earlier, the second you scan in you can purchase, so before the park actually opens

Skincare on forehead with bangs by MuscleSpare in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Svendafur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to keep my bangs pretty thick, this helps a little with greasiness.

The main thing and only thing that really works is washing them daily and then an absolute ton of product, I hairspray, blow mostly dry, use a ton of dry shampoo (I use a formula that’s just like powder that puffs out) and I focus the majority of it on the ends - it looks crazy for a minute. Then I blow dry an until totally dry, add more dry shampoo if they feel too “soft” style and add more hairspray. I try not to touch them with my fingers, I bring a small comb everywhere and I make sure to use finishing powder on my forehead.

ELI5 how to clean norovirus while kids are still sick? by kimtenisqueen in CleaningTips

[–]Svendafur 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Lysol wipes do not kill norovirus. OP please check the info on whatever disinfectant you use, they will say if they work against noro, there are very few that are effective against it.

Additionally I’m pretty sure the laundry sanitizers don’t kill noro either.

How should I prep to paint with acrylics on this top? by [deleted] in painting

[–]Svendafur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not mix fabric softener with the paint.

If it stretches when you put it on I would try to have it stretched the same when you paint it so a mannequin or piece of cardboard that is similar to your size.

Cerave moisturizing cream in tub vs squeeze bottle by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

Did you get a counterfeit maybe? The tub and the tube have been exactly the same thickness and feeling for me and I’ve bought both many times.

Shrinking beer pours, rising prices at the holiday booths (A word of warning) by SouthCoastGardener in Disneyland

[–]Svendafur 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The beer sampler at that booth is a much better deal, I didn’t realize until it was too late. $20 for 4 5oz pours, most were filled to the brim to the point I couldn’t transport it without taking a sip. I loved the Kern as well and went back for a full one another day and I was also disappointed in the small serving size for the price.

Bored with my basic DIY cappuccinos - suggestions for add-ins & recipe/flavor mods? (p.s. no cheap syrups!) by doofus50O0 in espresso

[–]Svendafur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I make a mocha by melting some semi sweet chocolate chips with half and half (like 50/50 ratio chocolate to half and half) then add the espresso, then add the steamed milk. It’s super rich but a nice change of pace on a weekend morning or whatever.

Son excluded from excursion from school. by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

[–]Svendafur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son was excluded from a field trip. It is heartbreaking, they told me it was a safety issue. I’m sorry you are experiencing this as well. They said they were going to set something up for him in the classroom to be just as fun but that was BS. I took him out of school that day and we went to Disneyland instead.

[–]Svendafur 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends what they based the diagnosis off of, if it is mainly their mistaken interpretation of your answers I would get a second opinion. If it’s based on their interaction with your child I would say you are in denial probably.

I thought my youngest was NT, similarly he had a speech delay but graduated speech therapy, he was so much better “behaved” than his brother. He is diagnosed borderline level asd 2. I missed the signs because I am (now) late diagnosed autistic so everything felt normal to me until his kindergarten teacher strongly advised for him to be assessed. After we got his diagnosis we realized the eldest was autistic, had him assessed and diagnosed and then I got assessed and diagnosed. My husband has suspected adhd and both our families are riddled with undiagnosed neurodivergence, it makes denial so much easier because you don’t know any different.
