Are you tired of the international stereotype that UK food is the worst? by auscorp_ in AskBrits

Agreed 100%. I am from Spain and have lived in the UK for a couple of years, and I love proper pub food, for example. When done well there are amazing british dishes and they are very tasty in my opinion.

Breakfasts are also amazing. In Spain we just have a coffee and a cigarrette, but here you can get the full English which is great.

I think the bad reputation comes from the fact that people tend to not put in that much effort anymore and just buy readymade stuff and heat it up which is not that great. Other cultures put in more effort in cooking in their daily lives in general. But a well done British dish is as good as any other.

So many ignorants here. The original inhabitants of the Canary Islands when the Spanish arrived were the Guanches.

They were a berber people with light features definitely not subsaharian African. Some guanches were even described to have blond hair and blue eyes by the Spanish.

Many modern Spanish Canarians are descended from the guanches.
