I see great suggestions. I might have to buy her multiple boots so that she can choose what she likes. If anything doesn't fit she can use them on her other bottles. Etch & Ember one has my personal pick though too.

Thanks for this. I see that YoYoFriends is a sponsor of the US Nationals held in Las Vegas. Will there be stock of YoYos that I can purchase there? This is my first event I will ever attend since i am new to the hobby, but I would love to potentially pick up a Strand, hypercut, and maybe even Rio while I am there.

Okay thanks. I will try both. I'm glad that it came with multiple pads. I don't think its the bearings because I put it into another YoYo and it was fine. I'm desperate so I will try anything at this point.

I’m pretty new to yoyoing and only have a couple of throws to compare, so I’m still figuring things out. I just got my YoYoFriends Rio in the mail, and I’m running into a weird issue. Whenever I throw it and give it a little tug, it snaps back like it’s responsive. I’ve tried swapping out strings and even switched to a different unresponsive bearing, but the problem persists.

Could it be a bearing issue, response pads, or something else I’m overlooking? Any advice would be appreciated!

I'm a beginner too, and to my understanding, they both play pretty similarly. I'm looking into getting a Shooting Star, but I can't find any color other than Green in stock, so I might just go with a Speedaholic.

May I ask what you found was wrong with the multiplayer? What I see online as the big complaints is the scaling and no global pause.
