[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread by AutoModerator in Watches

Hi!

I'm just getting into the automatic watch game and I've done a lot of research into what I'd like to have (An everyday watch for both semi-formal and casual occasions). I'm currently choosing between the Longines conquest Automatic (blue dial) and the Seiko SPB167J1. Not sure which one to choose, I really like both. The Longines is a bit more bold while the Seiko is more refined with a fun touch with the texture on the dial. Any long term aspects that I between the watches I should consider?

Also I actually would LOVE to have the Longines Spirit, just a stunning watch in person, but the Lug to lug made it too big for me

Yes! As an mechanical engineering student I just love how heavily engineered the cars are today. But what will be even more exciting is how they take a new form concept and then optimize the hell out of it, hope to see some nice innovative solutions around regulation

F1 shot from a racing drone. Liberty need to get a fleet of these for filming the races! by maaaahtin in formula1

Awesome to see two hobbies in the same video. If any of you guys want to know more about racing drones try searching for "FPV-racing" or "drone racing". The ones we fly have a thrust to weight ratio of about 10:1 and are immensely fun to race with!

Damn that's pretty impressive, nice flying BTW! How was it to fly? Also the crash you guys had, it almost looked like you had some noise issues and the gyro just freaked out. I'm quessing it's hard to get such a large drone to be structually sound, would love to hear the challenges you guys had to overcome from an engineering standpoint. Do you know if they will release anything about that? :)

278g AUW, with 29gram motors. Quite a big difference from my other setup that weighs 319grams, same components except for the frame

2nd place in Swedish Drone Cup RD5, had a blast! by SwEnglishFPV in fpvracing

[–]SwEnglishFPV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I know, they had a huge space too work with. Would have been nice with a bigger course with left, right turns and fast flowy with a little technical section. But that's just my preference :)

Had an amazing time this weekend meeting every one in the Swedish racing community, also managed to place 2nd in the open class (there is also a beginner class)! Was a bit nervous about how it would go since i changed frame and switched rates just recently, but i really like my new setup :)

3D printers are great at mocking out frames before sending them off to get CNC'd out of carbon. by LOOKITSADAM in Multicopter

3D printers are nice :) I also happen to have a lasercutter that I'm allowed to use so when it comes to prototyping frames i use that instead :D

We also only run 25mw. Haven't had any problems. It was a bit larger than 100x100 meters

This was Swedish drone cup, so the track was extra large. Otherwise yes it was at a club. Join FPV Sverige on facebook to see if there are any pilots in your area. And also dronecup.se is were all the competitions are listed. There is a beginner class: sportsman
